Bitcoin stayed above $80,000 on Monday, but trading interest shifted to smaller tokens. OSMO jumped 104.3%, BUILDon rose 33%, and TROLL gained 27% as altcoin activity accelerated across the market.

Bitcoin held above the $80,000 level on Monday, trading near $80,722 as attention moved away from large-cap stability and toward faster gains in smaller tokens. Across the market, several lower-cap assets posted strong double-digit advances in a single session, making altcoins the center of trading activity.

Major assets were relatively steady. Ethereum (ETH) remained above $2,329, though it lagged behind a group of rapidly rising altcoins. XRP added 1.7% to reach $1.44, extending its effort to stabilize after recent volatility. Solana (SOL) climbed to $95.32, with daily volume topping $4.5 billion. Dogecoin (DOGE) also kept a positive tone, supported by more than $1.6 billion in daily trading volume.

OSMO Leads the Session as Smaller Tokens Surge

The strongest move came from lower-cap assets. Osmosis (OSMO) rallied 104.3% in 24 hours, making it the standout performer of the session, while trading volume exceeded $104 million. The move pointed to aggressive capital rotation into DeFi-linked tokens and a clear rise in short-term speculative activity.

BUILDon (B) drew heavy attention after climbing 33% to $0.4765, with daily volume rising above $40 million. TROLL (TROLL) advanced 27% to $0.113, extending momentum in meme-related tokens. MEME HORSE (MHORSE), Octra (OCT), Constellation (DAG), and ZIGChain (ZIG) each posted gains of more than 20% during the same period.

Bitcoin Keeps Market Leadership Despite Altcoin Rotation

Even with smaller assets outperforming, Bitcoin continued to dominate the market by size. Its market capitalization remained above $1.6 trillion, while Ethereum kept its institutional standing with a market value above $281 billion. Billions Network (BILL) was also among the most actively traded top gainers, with volume surpassing $1.16 billion during the reporting window.

The trading pattern showed a market split between steady large-cap prices and aggressive rotation into smaller coins. Bitcoin’s defense of a key price level helped maintain the broader backdrop, while the strongest momentum and turnover were concentrated in altcoins posting the fastest gains.
