Bitget said it will launch what it calls the first RWA index perpetual futures product in the industry on Aug. 20, giving users a way to trade tokenized traditional assets through crypto-style derivatives. The first batch will include TSLAUSDT (RWA), NVDAUSDT (RWA) and CRCLUSDT (RWA). According to the exchange, the contracts are built on tokenized stock indexes already circulating in the market, with each index tracking one or more RWA tokens from third-party issuers. Bitget said index constituents and weights may be adjusted based on measurable factors including market activity, trading volume and liquidity. The product will run on a 5x24 trading schedule, closing on weekends and stock-market holidays. During market closures, prices will be frozen to prevent liquidations, users may add margin, order cancellations will remain available, new orders will not be accepted, and funding fees will pause before resuming on an hourly basis during active trading. Bitget also said the product will use the same mechanics and liquidation process as crypto perpetuals, with leverage capped at 10x, isolated margin only, and platform-wide position limits. Initial pricing will reference tokenized equities issued on xStocks, with more issuers planned.

Bitget said it will roll out RWA (real-world asset) index perpetual futures on Aug. 20, describing the product as the first of its kind in the industry. The initial lineup includes TSLAUSDT (RWA), NVDAUSDT (RWA) and CRCLUSDT (RWA).

The exchange said the contracts are built on tokenized stock indexes already circulating in the market. Each index can include one or more RWA tokens and is designed to track prices from different third-party issuers. As an example, Bitget said an AAPL RWA index perpetual contract could reflect a composite price drawn from AAPL tokens issued by several third parties.

Bitget said it will add or remove index sources dynamically based on measurable factors such as market activity, trading volume and liquidity. The exchange also said weights will be adjusted and disclosed from time to time to keep pricing flexible and fair. It compared the approach to how crypto perpetual indexes are formed using data from major exchanges.

Trading hours and risk controls

The product will trade on a 5x24 schedule, with markets closed on weekends and stock-market holidays. During those closures, market prices will be frozen to prevent liquidations. Users will be able to add margin to prepare for potentially sharp moves once trading resumes.

Bitget said users can cancel orders while the market is closed, but they will not be able to place new ones. Funding fees will also be suspended during the halt and resume on an hourly basis when active trading returns.

On product design, Bitget said the contracts will use the same mechanics and liquidation process as crypto perpetual futures to reduce the learning curve for users. To limit early-stage risk, leverage will be capped at 10x, only isolated margin will be supported, and position caps will apply across the platform.

Executive comments and expansion plan

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said: 「Bitget’s innovation comes from frontier exploration in the crypto industry. Through the world’s first RWA index perpetual futures, we are gradually moving toward a complete ecosystem that covers every element of finance. The launch of this product shows Bitget’s lead over other platforms, because it gives traders access not only to crypto assets but also to traditional assets, truly bringing together TradFi and DeFi.」

At launch, index pricing will reference tokenized stocks issued on the xStocks platform, according to the company. Bitget said it plans to add more credible issuers in the near term. Within the current quarter, Bitget Futures also plans to broaden support for RWA perpetual contracts to cover more categories of traditional assets.
