The exchange linked the move to the BLAST Foundation’s announced plan to end mainnet operations. In its notice, Bithumb said it needs to further review the continuity of the project’s business, its actual progress, and the impact on the token’s use, purpose, and functions. The exchange said the caution designation took effect on Oct. 3. It added that a decision on whether to lift the trading caution label or end trading support for BLAST will be announced during the third week of October, from Oct. 12 to Oct. 16.

According to the announcement, the BLAST Foundation announced a plan to end mainnet operations. On that basis, the exchange said it added BLAST to the trading caution list to protect users.

Decision due in the third week of October

Bithumb said the designation date for the BLAST trading caution list is Oct. 3. It added that whether the caution status will be lifted, or whether trading support will be terminated, will be announced between Oct. 12 and Oct. 16, which it identified as the third week of October.
