Taiwan’s Securities and Futures Bureau updated its list of virtual asset service providers that have completed anti-money laundering registration on Sept. 29, adding Sanchuan Token Co., Ltd., the company behind the BitstreetX brand. The registration was completed on Sept. 24, raising the number of registered VASPs from 10 to 11.
The addition came less than a month after the previous update on Sept. 3, when TSG Digital Asset Management and Liminal Taiwan were added to the list, according to ABMedia.
BitstreetX received approval for all four business categories
According to the regulator’s published list, Sanchuan Token Co., Ltd. (uniform number 90607767) is approved to operate as a virtual asset exchange, trading platform, transfer service provider, and custodian, covering all four categories.
The filing shows Lai Chia-hsien as the responsible person. The company’s paid-in capital is NT$111 million, and its registered address is 12F., No. 143, Fuxing North Road, Songshan District, Taipei.
United Daily News reported that after joining the VASP association, the company plans to put all four approved business lines into operation.
Rejected last year, registered after resubmission this year
United Daily News said Sanchuan Token had already appeared on the list under the previous AML compliance declaration regime. After Taiwan moved to a registration-based review system, the company’s application was rejected in August last year, which left it out of the first batch of registered firms announced in September last year. It later resubmitted its application, passed the review, and completed registration on Sept. 24.
The Securities and Futures Bureau had also announced on July 29, 2025, that Sanchuan Token was fined NT$1.5 million for violations of the Money Laundering Control Act tied to deficiencies in customer due diligence, ongoing transaction monitoring, and record retention.
In the same month, Hoya Digital (HOYA BIT), XREX, and Zone Wallet were also penalized over AML control deficiencies. ABMedia noted that Chain News had compiled those enforcement cases at the time.
Eight of the 11 registered firms have trading platform approval
Being on the registry does not mean every firm is an exchange. Based on a comparison of the published list, 8 of the 11 registered VASPs hold approval for trading platform business:
- Hoya Digital (HOYA BIT)
- Zone Wallet
- Modern Wealth (MaiCoin / MAX)
- Cross-Chain Technology (Chainss, Atrix)
- BitoPro
- XREX
- TSG Digital Asset Management (TSG EX)
- Sanchuan Token (BitstreetX)
Among the remaining three, Fusheng Digital (TWEX) is registered for exchange, transfer, and custody services; KryptoGO Transfer is registered only for transfer services; and Liminal Taiwan is registered only for custody.
All registered firms must reapply after the new law takes effect
According to CNA, VASPs that have passed the current registration process must apply to the Financial Supervisory Commission for a formal license within 12 months after the Virtual Asset Service Act takes effect. During the transition period, all 11 firms may continue operating.
