Brian Armstrong said in a post on X that the Senate secured CLARITY a year ago, followed by negotiation over hundreds of pages of changes, agreement on SEC and CFTC nominations, and unprecedented ethics commitments. With crypto and banking compromises in place, he argues the only remaining question is whether some groups will try to delay or block widely supported bipartisan legislation. Millions of Americans hold crypto and are watching; it is time to vote.
Brian Armstrong took to X to argue that it is time for a vote on crypto legislation with broad bipartisan support. He noted that the Senate secured CLARITY a year ago. Since then, lawmakers have negotiated hundreds of pages of changes, reached agreement on SEC and CFTC nominations, and obtained unprecedented ethics commitments.
"Compromises have also been made by the crypto industry and the banking sector," he wrote. "This is how legislation should work. Nobody gets everything they want. Everyone gets most of what they need."
The only remaining question, in Armstrong's view, is whether certain groups will try to delay or block a bill that already has broad bipartisan support. "Millions of Americans hold cryptocurrency and are watching. It is time to vote."
