The figures show that BTC funding rates differ across exchanges at the time covered by the data. Binance and OKX are currently in negative territory, while Bybit and Gate are positive. Bybit’s 0.0029% and Gate’s 0.0022% are both above the reported 8-hour network average of -0.0013%.
Funding rates are commonly used in perpetual futures markets as periodic payments exchanged between long and short positions. When the funding rate is positive, long positions generally pay short positions; when the rate is negative, short positions generally pay long positions. The data cited here reflects the current BTC 8-hour funding rate readings reported by Coinglass.
