ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that BTC is approaching two price levels associated with significant liquidation intensity across major centralized exchanges. If BTC drops below $60,468, the cumulative long liquidation intensity on major CEXs would reach $1.242 billion.

Liquidation intensity on both sides of the price range

On the upside, Coinglass data shows that if BTC breaks above $66,452, cumulative short liquidation intensity on major CEXs would reach $1.122 billion. The two figures correspond to different directions of leveraged-position pressure: long positions under a downside move and short positions under an upside move.

Liquidation intensity is used to observe how much forced-liquidation pressure is concentrated around specific price levels on exchanges. The figures cited here describe the estimated liquidation-intensity distribution around $60,468 and $66,452 for BTC, and they are not the same as liquidation amounts that have already occurred.
