Odaily Planet Daily reports that French publicly traded company Capital B (ticker: ALCPB) is seeking shareholder approval to issue new shares and credit instruments to fund a massive bitcoin acquisition. According to BitcoinTreasuries.NET, the company plans to raise up to $5.82 billion via new share issuance and up to $116.4 billion through credit instruments, totaling approximately $122.22 billion, all intended to increase its bitcoin holdings.
The credit instruments may include bonds, loans, or other debt arrangements, with details to be finalized upon approval. If the financing plan proceeds, Capital B's bitcoin position would increase dramatically, potentially placing it among the largest corporate bitcoin holders globally.
Capital B has already been accumulating bitcoin as a reserve asset; this new funding round underscores its long-term conviction in the cryptocurrency. Shareholder voting and the actual execution of the fundraising will be key milestones to watch.
