According to monitoring by on-chain analyst Yu Jin, Chainlink completed its latest quarterly unlock three hours earlier. A total of 21 million LINK was unlocked and transferred out from four Chainlink non-circulating supply addresses. Based on the figures cited in the monitoring report, the unlocked tokens were valued at about $166 million. The post-unlock transfers were mainly split between Binance and a multisignature address identified as 0xD50...8Af.

21 million LINK moved from four non-circulating supply addresses

The central figure in this quarterly unlock is 21 million LINK. Yu Jin’s monitoring described the tokens as coming from four Chainlink non-circulating supply addresses, which released and transferred the assets after the quarterly unlock process. The same report noted that Chainlink’s non-circulating supply addresses typically unlock about 10 million to 20 million LINK each quarter, with the unlocked assets then moving on-chain to designated destinations.

Binance and 0xD50...8Af received the unlocked tokens

Of the 21 million LINK unlocked this time, 18.375 million LINK was transferred to Binance, with an estimated value of $145 million. Another 2.625 million LINK was transferred to the 0xD50...8Af multisignature address, with an estimated value of $20.8 million. These two destinations account for the reported post-unlock flow: Binance received the majority of the tokens, while the multisignature address received a smaller portion.

The monitoring report also described the usual pattern of Chainlink’s quarterly unlocks. In each quarter, Chainlink’s non-circulating supply addresses unlock roughly 10 million to 20 million LINK. Most of those tokens are transferred to Binance, while a smaller amount is sent to the 0xD50...8Af address. The LINK transferred to that address can enter the LINK staking reward distribution contract, where it is used to distribute rewards to LINK staking users. The reported information covers the token amount, dollar value, receiving destinations, and the stated use of the portion routed through the multisignature address.
