ChainCatcher reported, citing monitoring by on-chain analyst Ember, that Chainlink completed its quarterly unlock three hours ago. A total of 21 million LINK was unlocked and transferred out from four Chainlink non-circulating supply addresses. Based on the values cited in the monitoring report, the tokens were worth approximately $166 million at the time of the transfers.

21 Million LINK Leaves Four Non-Circulating Supply Addresses

The unlock was divided mainly between two destinations. According to Ember’s monitoring, 18.375 million LINK was transferred to Binance, with an estimated value of $145 million. Another 2.625 million LINK was sent to the multisig address 0xD50...8Af, with an estimated value of $20.8 million. Together, these two transfers account for the 21 million LINK moved following the quarterly unlock.

Binance and the 0xD50...8Af Multisig Address Receive the Funds

Ember also noted the recurring pattern of Chainlink’s quarterly unlocks. Each quarter, Chainlink non-circulating supply addresses unlock roughly 10 million to 20 million LINK. In those unlocks, most of the tokens are transferred to Binance, while a smaller portion is sent to the 0xD50...8Af address.

The latest movement follows that structure: 18.375 million LINK went to Binance, and 2.625 million LINK went to the 0xD50...8Af multisig address. The monitoring report further stated that part of the LINK transferred to this address enters the LINK staking reward distribution contract, where it is used to distribute rewards to LINK staking users.
