ChainCatcher reported that Binance founder Changpeng Zhao posted on X that he is meeting with multiple national leaders and regulatory authorities in Asia. According to Zhao, the meetings are aimed at advancing development in the crypto sector, and he said the discussions have made good progress.
In the same post, Zhao said countries should promote the tokenization of real-world assets, including stocks, so that global investors can take part in trading. The reference to RWA tokenization centers on bringing assets from the real economy onto blockchain-based systems in token form, with stocks specifically named in his remarks.
Zhao also said countries should issue their own stablecoins in order to expand the use of local currencies on blockchains. His comments connect national-level regulatory engagement with RWA tokenization and stablecoins backed by local currency, framing them as parts of a broader push to develop crypto infrastructure.
