Circle has unveiled the founding validator lineup for Arc, its open blockchain network, and set a September 16, 2026 date for the public mainnet launch. The company said more than 100 ecosystem and institutional builders are already connected to Arc's private mainnet. The first validators include BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, Intercontinental Exchange, Mastercard, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo Corporation and Visa. All 11 are part of the first cohort. Circle describes Arc as a network built for global financial markets, real-time money movement and on-chain financial applications, with an emphasis on openness, composability and institutional-grade compliance and security. BlackRock is expected to deploy its BUIDL fund on Arc. Circle is also working with DTCC to support tokenization on Arc of assets custodied by DTC, with the initiative targeted for the second half of 2027. Announced on August 5, the news adds a roster that spans asset management, market infrastructure, payments, exchanges and banking.

Circle on August 5 named the founding validator set for Arc, the company's open blockchain network, and confirmed that the public mainnet will go live on September 16, 2026.

According to the announcement, more than 100 ecosystem and institutional builders have already been connected on Arc's private mainnet. The initial group of validators spans BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, Intercontinental Exchange, Mastercard, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo Corporation and Visa.

Circle positioned Arc as a network for global financial markets, real-time payment flows and on-chain financial apps. The network, in its view, balances openness and composability with the compliance and security standards institutions expect.

BlackRock is expected to deploy its BUIDL fund on Arc. In addition, Circle is working with DTCC on a plan to support tokenization on Arc for assets held by DTC, with the rollout scheduled for the second half of 2027.
