Cisco Partners With Super Micro to Add AI Servers to Infrastructure Portfolio

Cisco is working with Super Micro Computer to add high-performance AI servers to its infrastructure lineup, according to Axios. The company said the collaboration will bring high-density liquid-cooled and air-cooled systems into its Secure AI Factory offering, which it is building with Nvidia support. Cisco is also expanding beyond networking equipment as it pushes further into AI infrastructure and aims to sell more hardware used to run AI workloads.

According to Axios, Cisco (CSCO.O) is working with Super Micro Computer (SMCI.O) to add high-performance AI servers to its infrastructure product portfolio backed by Nvidia.

Cisco said it is collaborating with Super Micro to bring high-density liquid-cooled and air-cooled computing systems into Secure AI Factory, a solution the two companies launched with Nvidia.

The move extends Cisco beyond networking equipment and into more hardware used to run AI workloads. The company is also increasing its bet on AI infrastructure, saying it expects computing demand to remain strong in the foreseeable future.
