Coinbase added short-term up-or-down contracts to its prediction market on Tuesday, expanding the range of crypto products available on the platform. The contracts cover Bitcoin, Ether and eight other tokens, and let users place directional bets on price moves over 15-minute and hourly time frames. The listings are handled by prediction market platform Kalshi. According to the report, Kalshi had already been running the same 15-minute markets on its own exchange before the Coinbase rollout. The update points to a broader push to offer very short-duration crypto price products through prediction-style market structures.
