According to ChainCatcher, Coinglass data shows that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $604 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations stood at $79.5573 million, while short liquidations reached $525 million, making short positions the larger side of the liquidation total in this reporting period.

Bitcoin and Ether liquidation breakdown

For Bitcoin-related positions, long liquidations totaled $15.4835 million, while short liquidations amounted to $198 million. For Ether-related positions, long liquidations reached $20.2206 million, and short liquidations came in at $179 million. In both Bitcoin and Ether, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations based on the figures reported by Coinglass.

The data also shows that 121,825 traders worldwide were liquidated during the latest 24-hour window. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance’s ETHUSDT trading pair, with a value of $12.029 million. In derivatives trading, liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of a margin position when available collateral is insufficient to maintain it.
