According to ChainCatcher, citing Coinglass data, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $218 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $120 million of that amount, while short positions accounted for $98.1628 million. Liquidation refers to the forced closing of leveraged positions when margin requirements are no longer met.
By asset, Bitcoin long liquidations totaled $19.2311 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $28.5367 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations stood at $18.7176 million, and short liquidations came in at $13.3234 million. Bitcoin and Ethereum were the main assets listed in the liquidation breakdown.
Coinglass data also showed that 98,214 traders worldwide were liquidated during the same 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the BTCUSDT pair, with a value of $1.9305 million. The figures were reported by ChainCatcher based on Coinglass liquidation statistics.
