ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $82.6906 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations accounted for $37.7242 million, while short liquidations stood at $44.9664 million. Based on the reported figures, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations during the same period.
For major assets, Bitcoin-related positions recorded $4.0104 million in long liquidations and $12.1604 million in short liquidations. Ethereum-related positions saw $6.7983 million in long liquidations and $4.4885 million in short liquidations. All of these figures refer to the most recent 24-hour tracking window provided in the Coinglass data.
During the same period, 58,696 traders worldwide were liquidated. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Bybit’s BTCUSDT trading pair, with a value of $2.0132 million. Liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of leveraged positions when margin is insufficient to meet the required maintenance level.
