ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $195 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations accounted for $103 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $91.8433 million.
By asset, Bitcoin long liquidations stood at $11.9053 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $26.4739 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations totaled $15.2702 million, and short liquidations came in at $11.2157 million, according to the same 24-hour Coinglass statistics.
Coinglass also recorded 96,758 liquidated traders globally during the latest 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - BTCUSDT, with a value of $1.9305 million. In derivatives trading, liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of a leveraged position when margin is insufficient.
