Crypto derivatives markets saw $709 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, according to data from Coinglass cited by ChainCatcher. Long positions accounted for the vast majority of the total at $647 million, while short liquidations came in at $61.9442 million. Bitcoin liquidations included $172 million in longs and $12.1436 million in shorts. Ethereum posted even larger long-side losses, with $236 million in long liquidations and $15.5148 million in shorts. Coinglass data also showed that 122,768 traders were liquidated globally during the same period. The largest single liquidation order was recorded on Binance in the ETHUSDC trading pair, with a value of $26.6438 million.
