According to ChainCatcher, citing data from Coinglass, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $143 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations amounted to $69.5254 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $73.6071 million. Liquidation figures track the scale of leveraged positions that have been forcibly closed, and in this data set, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations.
Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown
For Bitcoin-related positions, long liquidations stood at $11.0992 million, while short liquidations reached $35.4525 million. For Ethereum-related positions, long liquidations were $11.6166 million, and short liquidations were $9.3173 million.
Coinglass data also shows that 78,518 traders worldwide were liquidated over the most recent 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Bitget, on the BTCUSDT_UMCBL trading pair, with a value of $5.1119 million.
