ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $143 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations amounted to $69.5254 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $73.6071 million. Based on these figures, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations during the reporting period.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Liquidation Breakdown

For Bitcoin, long liquidations reached $11.0992 million, while short liquidations came in at $35.4525 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations totaled $11.6166 million, compared with $9.3173 million in short liquidations. The figures show the forced closure of leveraged positions tied to the two major crypto assets over the past 24 hours.

Coinglass data also showed that 78,518 traders worldwide were liquidated during the same 24-hour window. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Bitget’s BTCUSDT_UMCBL contract, with a value of $5.1119 million. In derivatives trading, liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of a leveraged position when margin requirements are no longer met.
