According to ChainCatcher, Coinglass data shows that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $123 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations amounted to $39.6635 million, while short liquidations totaled $83.2107 million. Based on the reported figures, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations during the same period.
Bitcoin and Ethereum Liquidation Breakdown
For major crypto assets, Bitcoin long liquidations reached $3.2499 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $37.8482 million. Ethereum long liquidations stood at $3.1764 million, while Ethereum short liquidations totaled $10.2412 million. In both Bitcoin and Ethereum, the reported value of short liquidations was higher than the value of long liquidations.
Coinglass data also shows that 70,864 people were liquidated globally in the most recent 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order took place on Bitget, on the BTCUSDT_UMCBL trading pair, with a reported value of $5.1119 million. Liquidation data records leveraged positions that are forcibly closed when margin conditions are no longer met.
