According to ChainCatcher, citing data from Coinglass, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $331 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations accounted for $177 million of that amount, while short liquidations totaled $154 million. In derivatives trading, liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of a leveraged or margin position when the account no longer has sufficient collateral to maintain it.

Bitcoin and Ether Liquidation Breakdown

For Bitcoin, long liquidations reached $36.6512 million, while short liquidations reached $69.0029 million. For Ether, long liquidations stood at $38.8072 million, and short liquidations totaled $34.3987 million. The figures were reported by Coinglass and cover liquidation activity recorded during the latest 24-hour period.

Coinglass data also showed that 102,404 traders worldwide were liquidated during the same 24-hour window. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - BTCUSDT, with a value of $2.0983 million. This was the largest individual forced liquidation order shown in the reported data set.
