ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $172 million over the past 24 hours. Of that amount, long positions accounted for $102 million, while short positions accounted for $70.727 million. Liquidation refers to the forced closing of a leveraged position when margin requirements are no longer met.

For Bitcoin-related positions, long liquidations totaled $19.3007 million, while short liquidations reached $28.052 million. For Ethereum-related positions, long liquidations stood at $16.4442 million, and short liquidations came in at $11.0359 million. These figures summarize the liquidation activity recorded across major crypto contracts during the 24-hour period.

Coinglass data also showed that 78,338 traders worldwide were liquidated during the latest 24-hour window. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Bybit - BTCUSD, with a value of $2.4157 million. This was the largest individual forced liquidation recorded in the reported period.
