ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $125 million over the past 24 hours. By position direction, long liquidations amounted to $48.1182 million, while short liquidations totaled $77.2309 million. The data shows that short liquidations were larger than long liquidations during this 24-hour period.
For major crypto assets, Bitcoin-related positions accounted for a notable portion of the total. Coinglass data showed that Bitcoin long liquidations reached $3.7299 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $35.9883 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations totaled $6.1456 million, and short liquidations stood at $9.1857 million.
The same dataset also showed that 73,785 people worldwide were liquidated in the latest 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Bitget in the BTCUSDT_UMCBL contract, with a value of $5.1119 million. These figures describe the scale of forced position closures recorded in the derivatives market during the reported window.
