According to ChainCatcher, data from Coinglass shows that total crypto market liquidations reached $631 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations totaled $96.4484 million, while short-position liquidations reached $534 million. In leveraged or margin trading, liquidation generally refers to a position being forcibly closed after market movement triggers the required threshold.

Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown

For Bitcoin positions, long liquidations amounted to $17.4551 million, while short liquidations reached $198 million. For Ethereum positions, long liquidations totaled $28.7284 million, and short liquidations stood at $180 million.

Coinglass data also shows that 125,126 people were liquidated globally during the most recent 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order took place on Binance - ETHUSDT, with a value of $12.029 million.
