According to ChainCatcher, citing data from Coinglass, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $430 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $307 million of the total, while short positions accounted for $123 million. Liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of leveraged positions after market movements trigger exchange risk-control thresholds.
Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown
For Bitcoin-related positions, long liquidations reached $97.5294 million, while short liquidations totaled $43.1965 million. For Ethereum-related positions, long liquidations stood at $81.6386 million, and short liquidations reached $30.6353 million. The figures show that long-position liquidations were larger than short-position liquidations during the reported 24-hour period.
Coinglass data also shows that 104,778 traders worldwide were liquidated in the last 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the BTCUSDT pair, with a value of $4.9661 million.
