ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $303 million over the past 24 hours. Of that amount, long liquidations accounted for $179 million, while short liquidations totaled $124 million. In leveraged trading, liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of a position when margin is no longer sufficient to support it.
For Bitcoin positions, long liquidations reached $43.9438 million, while short liquidations stood at $14.9106 million. For Ethereum positions, long liquidations totaled $34.8185 million, and short liquidations reached $54.3704 million. Based on the reported figures, Bitcoin long liquidations exceeded Bitcoin short liquidations, while Ethereum short liquidations exceeded Ethereum long liquidations.
Coinglass data also showed that 85,813 traders were liquidated globally during the same 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - ETHUSDT, with a value of $9.0893 million. All figures were reported by ChainCatcher based on Coinglass data.
