ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total crypto contract liquidations across the network reached $338 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations accounted for $138 million, while short liquidations totaled $200 million. By position direction, short liquidations were larger than long liquidations during the same 24-hour measurement window.

Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown

For Bitcoin, long liquidations amounted to $20.3004 million, and short liquidations reached $68.0779 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations stood at $36.2746 million, while short liquidations were $35.3031 million. The Coinglass figures separate the liquidation scale of Bitcoin and Ethereum positions across long and short sides.

Within the latest 24-hour period, 114,899 traders worldwide were liquidated. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the ETHUSDT trading pair, with a value of $11.8764 million. Liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of leveraged contract positions when margin becomes insufficient, and the figures show the scale of such forced closures over the stated period.
