According to ChainCatcher, citing data from Coinglass, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $123 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations amounted to $39.6635 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $83.2107 million. Based on the reported figures, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations during the period.
By asset, Bitcoin-related positions saw $3.2499 million in long liquidations and $37.8482 million in short liquidations. Ethereum-related positions recorded $3.1764 million in long liquidations and $10.2412 million in short liquidations. The figures reflect Coinglass’s tracking of liquidation activity in the derivatives market over the latest 24-hour window.
Coinglass data also showed that 70,864 traders worldwide were liquidated during the same period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Bitget in the BTCUSDT_UMCBL market, with a value of $5.1119 million. Liquidation data is commonly used to describe the scale of leveraged positions that have been force-closed in crypto contract trading.
