According to ChainCatcher, citing Coinglass data, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $146 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations amounted to $51.1152 million, while short liquidations stood at $95.1744 million. In this 24-hour period, the value of liquidated short positions was higher than that of liquidated long positions.
Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown
For Bitcoin positions, long liquidations totaled $9.2538 million and short liquidations totaled $32.1112 million. For Ethereum positions, long liquidations reached $9.6305 million, while short liquidations reached $26.5777 million. In both Bitcoin and Ethereum markets, short-side liquidations exceeded long-side liquidations based on the reported Coinglass figures.
Over the same 24-hour window, 66,381 traders were liquidated globally. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - BTCUSDT, with a value of $3.435 million. Liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of leveraged contract positions when margin conditions or platform risk controls are triggered.
