According to ChainCatcher, citing data from Coinglass, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $179 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $93.205 million of that amount, while short positions accounted for $85.9612 million. The figures refer to forced closures of leveraged positions recorded across the market during the latest 24-hour period.
For major assets, Bitcoin long liquidations totaled $10.7562 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $25.9777 million. Ethereum long liquidations stood at $11.6341 million, and Ethereum short liquidations came in at $10.718 million. Based on the reported figures, Bitcoin short liquidations were higher than Bitcoin long liquidations, while Ethereum long and short liquidation totals were closer in size.
Coinglass data also showed that 94,920 traders worldwide were liquidated over the same 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order took place on Binance - BTCUSDT, with a reported value of $1.9305 million. The figures were reported by ChainCatcher from Coinglass data.
