ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $430 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations accounted for $307 million of that amount, while short-position liquidations totaled $123 million. The figures show that long positions made up the larger share of forced closures during the reporting period.

By asset, Bitcoin-related long liquidations reached $97.5294 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations stood at $43.1965 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations totaled $81.6386 million, and short liquidations amounted to $30.6353 million. Bitcoin and Ethereum therefore represented major components of the liquidation data listed by Coinglass.

Coinglass also recorded 104,778 traders liquidated globally over the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the BTCUSDT trading pair, with a value of $4.9661 million. In derivatives trading, liquidation refers to the forced closure of a position when margin is insufficient to maintain it.
