According to ChainCatcher, citing data from Coinglass, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $631 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations stood at $96.4484 million, while short liquidations totaled $534 million. Liquidation data tracks positions that are forcibly closed in futures or margin trading when account collateral is insufficient to maintain them.
By asset, Bitcoin-related positions recorded $17.4551 million in long liquidations and $198 million in short liquidations. Ethereum-related positions saw $28.7284 million in long liquidations and $180 million in short liquidations. In both Bitcoin and Ethereum markets, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations during the reported 24-hour period.
Coinglass data also shows that 125,126 traders worldwide were liquidated in the last 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance - ETHUSDT, with a value of $12.029 million. The figures are based on Coinglass’s 24-hour market-wide liquidation statistics.
