ChainCatcher reported that, according to Coinglass data, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $49,160,000 over the past one hour. By position direction, short liquidations accounted for $42,000,000, while long liquidations stood at $716,000. The data records forced position closures in crypto derivatives markets during that one-hour window.
Among the listed assets, ETH recorded $30,960,000 in liquidations, the highest figure among the tokens mentioned in the report. BTC liquidations reached $5,320,000, while ZEC liquidations totaled $1,950,000. All figures were cited from Coinglass and refer specifically to the past one hour of market activity.
Liquidation data is commonly associated with leveraged trading. When traders holding long or short positions do not have sufficient margin to cover losses caused by price movement, positions can be forcibly closed by trading platforms. In this Coinglass snapshot, short liquidations were higher than long liquidations, and ETH liquidations were higher than those reported for BTC and ZEC.
