Spending on crypto payment cards climbed to a record $748.7 million in July, according to onchain analytics tracker Paymentscan, marking the fifth straight month of increases. The figure was up 19.1% from June’s $628.7 million and 144.7% from $306 million a year earlier. Paymentscan, which tracks card transactions across roughly 20 chains, also recorded all-time highs in user activity, with 8.77 million transactions and 158,857 active addresses in July. February was the last month to show a decline, and every month since March has set a fresh record. At the card-provider level, RedotPay handled $395.1 million in July, accounting for more than half of the tracked volume. Ether.fi’s Cash card ranked second with $100.3 million, followed by KAST at $89.6 million. Smaller programs posted the fastest month-over-month growth, including Avalanche Card, Plasma One, and Exa. The sector also set a single-day record of $36.8 million on July 20, when KAST’s daily volume exceeded RedotPay’s for the first time during a points promotion tied to its planned fourth-quarter token generation event. Paymentscan said cumulative deposits into crypto cards crossed $10 billion around July 1.

Spending on crypto payment cards rose to a record $748.7 million in July, extending the category’s monthly growth streak to five, according to onchain analytics tracker Paymentscan.

July volume increased 19.1% from $628.7 million in June and 144.7% from $306 million a year earlier. Paymentscan indexes card transactions across roughly 20 chains.

Users made 8.77 million transactions from 158,857 active addresses in July, with both figures setting new highs. February was the last down month, and each month since March has established a fresh all-time high.

In a post on X dated Aug. 1, Paymentscan wrote, "Flows into stablecoin neobanks crossed $1B in July for the first time ever, with a record high of $748M in spend. The big three, @RedotPay, @KASTxyz, and @ether_fi, all posted double digit % growth."

RedotPay accounted for more than half of tracked volume

The run of record spending stands out at a time when trading volumes elsewhere in crypto have fallen to multi-year lows. TheDefiant cited it as a sign that stablecoin-funded cards are finding everyday payment demand separate from broader market conditions.

Based on card-level data from Paymentscan as of Aug. 3, RedotPay processed $395.1 million in July, representing more than half of all tracked volume. Ether.fi’s Cash card followed with $100.3 million, while KAST posted $89.6 million.

Karta recorded $58.4 million in July volume, followed by Wirex One at $25 million and Tria at $16 million.

Smaller programs led on growth rates

Paymentscan said the fastest expansion came from smaller card programs. Avalanche Card rose 71.8% month over month to $2.4 million. Plasma One grew 69.1% to $15.2 million, and Exa increased 52.7% to $2.3 million.

July 20 set a single-day record

The sector also posted a record single-day volume of $36.8 million on July 20. On that day, KAST reached $13.6 million in daily volume, topping RedotPay for the first time on a daily basis during a points promotion ahead of KAST’s planned Q4 token generation event.

Cumulative deposits crossed $10 billion

Cumulative deposits into crypto cards passed $10 billion around July 1, up about 82% year to date. The report said that growth has tracked broader stablecoin access since the GENIUS Act became law in July 2025, placing card programs among the most direct links between onchain dollars and merchant payments.
