According to Coinglass data, total crypto liquidations in the past 24 hours reached $1.717 billion, with longs accounting for $1.411 billion and shorts $305 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) saw $626 million in long liquidations and $169 million in shorts, while Ethereum (ETH) recorded $313 million in longs and $67.28 million in shorts. Overall, 285,997 traders were liquidated, and the single largest order — a $16.1984 million BTC-USD position on Hyperliquid — was forcibly closed.

Liquidation occurs when margin falls below the required level, triggering automatic closure. A dominance of long liquidations typically signals a sharp price decline. Such data from platforms like Coinglass offer a snapshot of leverage-driven market stress.
