Market Overview: Monday’s Dip Fails to Break the Bullish Trend
The crypto market endured a slight pullback on Monday, Sept 30, but overall sentiment remained positive through the week. According to CryptoComLearn, the total crypto market capitalization held at $2.26 trillion, a modest 1.6% decline over the past 24 hours. The minor setback did little to dampen enthusiasm as several altcoins delivered impressive weekly gains.
Top Performers: MOODENG Leads with 400% Surge, ETHW Follows
The meme token moo deng (MOODENG) was the standout performer, rocketing 400% in seven days. It was followed by Ethereum PoW (ETHW), the native token of Ethereum’s proof-of-work fork, which surged 82% against the U.S. dollar. Other notable gainers include the meme coin Dog Go to the Moon (DOG), up 59.79%; FTX Token (FTT), rising 55.54%; and dogwifhat (WIF), climbing 43.26%. More than two dozen cryptocurrencies recorded double-digit weekly gains, spanning meme tokens to AI-focused projects.
Volume Rankings: XRP Tops, Meme and AI Coins Stay Hot
Excluding major assets like BTC, ETH, and stablecoins, XRP led trading volume, followed by SOL, BNB, PEPE, DOGE, SUI, WIF, and SHIB. AI-centric tokens also saw elevated activity this week, though specific names were not disclosed in the report. The sustained volume across meme coins and AI narratives suggests ongoing speculative interest.
Worst Performers: HMSTR Collapses 50%, Only Five Coins Suffer Double-Digit Losses
On the losing side, Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) took a 50.14% hit, marking the biggest weekly drawdown. Other decliners include Binaryx (BNX), down 19.89%; TRON’s SUN token (SUN), falling 13.73%; and Monero (XMR), shedding 12.86%. Analysts note that the bulk of losses occurred on Monday alone, and prior to that the week was mostly positive. As a result, only five tokens experienced double-digit declines, reflecting a generally buoyant market.
Outlook
The crypto market has shown resilience in the face of Monday’s pullback. The strong performances from meme coins and AI tokens indicate that speculative appetite remains robust, while high volume on major assets like XRP and SOL points to continued capital inflow. Investors should be aware of short-term volatility, but the broad weekly gains could set a constructive tone for the weeks ahead.
