CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said in a post on X that short-term holders, or STH, sent more than 32,000 BTC to exchanges on Aug. 1, with all of those coins sold at a loss. He described the move as one of the largest short-term holder capitulation events seen over the past 30 days. Darkfost also said market supply appears to be shifting from long-term holders, whom he described as having stronger conviction, to short-term holders. CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said in a post on X that short-term holders (STH) transferred more than 32,000 BTC to exchanges on Aug. 1, and that all of those coins were sold at a loss.

According to Darkfost, the move was one of the largest short-term holder loss-selling events recorded over the past 30 days.

He also said market supply is moving from long-term holders with stronger conviction into the hands of short-term holders.
