Crypto analyst Darkfost said Bitcoin has gained more than 23% over the past three days, and the sharp move higher is now being followed by signs of profit-taking. According to his post, about 53,000 BTC flowed into major trading platforms, including roughly 17,800 BTC sent to Binance. Darkfost said the full 17,800 BTC transferred to Binance came from short-term holders, especially investors who had held their coins for less than one day. By contrast, holders who had kept BTC for more than six months did not move any Bitcoin to Binance. He said the latest exchange inflows point to activity led by short-term speculative capital rather than structural selling from long-term holders. The data also marked the largest BTC inflow to Binance since February 2026. Darkfost added that short-term holders went through a notable capitulation phase in February, while the renewed large-scale movement of short-term funds in and out of exchanges now shows a pickup in speculative trading activity and a rise in crypto market volatility.

ChainCatcher reported that crypto analyst Darkfost said Bitcoin has climbed more than 23% over the past three days, with signs of profit-taking starting to appear after the rapid price increase.

About 53,000 BTC moved into major trading platforms over the period, including roughly 17,800 BTC transferred to Binance, according to the post.

Darkfost said all 17,800 BTC sent to Binance came from short-term holders, particularly investors who had held their positions for less than one day. In contrast, long-term holders with BTC held for more than six months did not transfer any Bitcoin to Binance.

He said the latest inflow was driven mainly by short-term speculative capital rather than structural selling by long-term holders.

The data also showed that this was the largest BTC inflow to Binance since February 2026. In February this year, short-term holders went through a notable capitulation phase. Darkfost said the latest wave of large short-term fund movements in and out of exchanges points to stronger speculative trading activity and is pushing crypto market volatility higher again.
