Deepsigma has rolled out a real-time paper trading platform for decentralized perpetual contracts linked to 77 traditional finance markets, according to an Odaily report citing Bitcoin.com News. The offering spans U.S. equities, stock indexes, commodities and U.S. Treasury yields, giving users long and short exposure to those markets.
The platform is built on the Cypherium blockchain and is being developed by a team that includes alumni of Goldman Sachs, Citadel Securities, Google and Uber. Rather than tokenizing, custodying or physically settling the underlying assets, Deepsigma says its perpetual contracts track prices through external market data feeds.
The exchange currently supports contracts tied to the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite, Russell 2000 and the Cboe Volatility Index, as well as oil, gold, silver, natural gas and copper. Its risk engine uses multiple external price sources, mark prices, circuit breakers, partial liquidations and an insurance fund. The platform also uses a central limit order book and a clearing layer for margin, collateral and settlement. Deepsigma is also developing a zero-knowledge-proof-based decentralized identity framework and off-chain AI analytics tools with no authority to execute funds.

Deepsigma said its perpetual contracts do not tokenize the underlying assets, hold them in custody, or involve physical delivery. Instead, prices are tracked through external market data sources.
Contracts currently available
The platform currently supports contracts linked to the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite, Russell 2000 and the Cboe Volatility Index. It also includes oil, gold, silver, natural gas and copper contracts.
Risk engine and market structure
Its risk engine uses multiple external price feeds, mark prices, circuit breakers, partial liquidations and an insurance fund. Deepsigma also uses a central limit order book and a clearing layer to handle margin, collateral and settlement.
Work still under development
The project is also building a decentralized identity framework based on zero-knowledge proofs, along with off-chain AI analytics tools that do not have execution authority over funds. At the base layer, Cypherium uses a hybrid Proof-of-Work and HotStuff Byzantine fault tolerance consensus mechanism and holds four U.S. patents.
