On June 5, 2026, on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain reported that 343,075 ETH across various DeFi protocols is currently at risk of liquidation, with an estimated total value of approximately $547 million. These ETH are used as collateral in major lending protocols; should the price of Ether fall below their respective liquidation thresholds, smart contracts will automatically liquidate the positions to repay debts.
Specifically, the liquidation prices cluster at four key levels: 46,741 ETH with a trigger price of $1,565.72; 58,032 ETH at $1,555.04; 100,394 ETH set to be forcibly liquidated at $1,426.31; and the largest bloc of 137,908 ETH tied to $1,361.73. If Ether's price reaches any of these levels, the corresponding collateral will be automatically closed by smart contracts. The largest liquidation order sits at the lowest price point, which would unleash concentrated selling pressure if breached.
Such liquidation data provides valuable insight into on-chain risk distribution, helping market participants gauge selling pressure at different price levels and assess the resilience of the DeFi system. Lookonchain continuously tracks collateral price movements to update liquidation thresholds in real time.
