According to ChainCatcher, Doppler Finance has launched XDP, its native utility and governance token. The project said XDP will serve as a coordination layer for the protocol, supporting user participation, decentralized governance, and ecosystem growth.
XDP is structured around three core functions: protocol privileges, governance, and a future security module. By staking XDP, users will be able to access advanced vaults and strategies, receive priority for new products, and qualify for ecosystem activities. The project said details on staking will be announced separately.
On governance, XDP holders will be able to take part in decisions covering protocol parameters, ecosystem incentive budgets, vault plans, and future features. The security module is scheduled for a later phase. Eligible users will be able to allocate staked XDP to coverage pools, take on the related risk, and receive additional incentives.
Doppler Finance said XDP has a total supply of 10 billion tokens. More than half of that supply is allocated to ecosystem development, vaults, partners, and community growth. Shares reserved for contributors and investors are subject to longer lock-up and vesting arrangements.
The genesis airdrop accounts for 1.0% of the total supply and will be fully unlocked at TGE for early users, contributors, and supporters. Another 43% is allocated to ecosystem and incentives, which the project said will support future Doppler Points seasons, XDP staking, and other community initiatives.
The team added that the official contract address will only be released through Doppler’s official channels, and warned users to watch for third-party information, phishing websites, and any request for funds or private keys.
