A crypto whale that had been inactive for nearly two years has returned to the market and executed a large arbitrage trade with borrowed Wrapped Ether, according to monitoring by Onchain Lens. The wallet borrowed 81,640 WETH from decentralized lending protocols Morpho and Spark, with the position valued at about $153.6 million.
Despite the size of the transaction, the trade produced almost no profit. On-chain data cited in the report shows the arbitrage generated just $1.88 in revenue, while transaction fees came to $1.53. That left the whale with a final net profit of only $0.36.
The case stands out because of the sharp contrast between the scale of capital deployed and the tiny return ultimately recorded on-chain.
