DWF Labs said the market has not yet fully priced in the potential upside from the convergence of artificial intelligence and crypto. In a post dated Oct. 16, the firm argued that as agent-based trading and payments gain traction, AI could help retail participants process more information, make decisions faster, and build their own capital management infrastructure. Even so, DWF Labs said capital has not yet moved into the crypto sector at scale around this theme. The firm highlighted three areas it is watching. The first is DePIN, which it sees as a way to address AI bottlenecks tied to data, energy, and distributed inference compute. The second is identity, particularly human verification in an environment with a growing number of agents. The third is payments, where crypto assets could be used to pay for AI inference services. The comments were cited by BlockBeats.

DWF Labs said on Oct. 16 that the market has not yet fully priced in the potential from the convergence of artificial intelligence and the crypto sector.

According to the firm, the rise of agent-based trading and payments could allow AI to help retail users process more information, make decisions faster, and build their own capital management infrastructure. DWF Labs added that capital linked to this theme has not yet flowed into crypto on a large scale.

Areas on DWF Labs' watchlist

The firm said it is paying attention to three directions:

  • DePIN, as a way to address AI bottlenecks in data, energy, and distributed inference compute;
  • Identity, to provide human verification in an environment with a rising number of agents;
  • Payments, using crypto assets as a payment method for AI inference services.
