ego (lite), a browser built for AI agents, has released a Windows beta after previously being available only on macOS. Through the "ego-browser" Skill, users can let existing agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor operate the browser directly. The product is built on Chromium and supports one-click import of Chrome bookmarks, extensions, cookies and login sessions, allowing agents to work inside already signed-in services including Gmail, X and enterprise back-office systems. Each agent runs in its own Space, so multiple tasks can proceed in parallel without taking over the tabs a user is actively using. Users can step in at any point for checkpoints such as CAPTCHAs or payments. ego (lite) also changes how agents read and act on webpages by generating a simplified page structure that marks buttons, input fields and other elements instead of passing full HTML to the model. Agents can bundle several actions into a single JavaScript sequence, which cuts tool calls and token usage. In internal testing across four browser tasks, the company said ego (lite) was up to 3.45 times faster than Vercel's agent-browser.
ego (lite), a browser designed for AI agents, has released a Windows beta. The product had previously supported only macOS.
Users can connect existing agents including Claude Code, Codex and Cursor to the browser through the "ego-browser" Skill. Built on Chromium, ego (lite) supports one-click import of Chrome bookmarks, extensions, cookies and login state.
That setup allows agents to work directly inside already signed-in websites such as Gmail, X and enterprise admin systems, handling information gathering, form filling and webpage testing. Each agent gets its own Space workspace, which lets several tasks run at the same time without taking over the tabs a user is currently using. If a task reaches a CAPTCHA or payment step, the user can take control at any time.
ego (lite) also changes the way agents read and operate webpages. The browser generates a simplified page structure and labels elements such as buttons and input fields, rather than sending the full HTML page to the model. Agents can also write several actions into one JavaScript sequence and run them continuously, reducing tool calls and token consumption.
In internal testing on four browser tasks, the company said ego (lite) was as much as 3.45x faster than Vercel's agent-browser.
