EMCD, one of the world’s larger Bitcoin mining pools and a cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, said it has launched a miner support program offering eligible miners up to $30 million in financing, fee relief, and partner benefits.
The announcement lands at a difficult point for the mining sector. CoinShares data for the first quarter of 2026 showed Bitcoin hashprice, a key measure of mining revenue per unit of computing power, had dropped to about $28 per PH per day. That was 50% below the peak recorded in October 2025 and marked a post-halving low. Hashrate Index data, cited by CoinCentral in April 2026, showed about 252 EH/s of hashrate had gone offline as miners using older machines found it increasingly hard to stay profitable. Network difficulty also declined in three consecutive adjustments, the first such streak since July 2022.
EMCD said it has operated its mining pool since 2017 and processed more than 4,550 BTC in mining output for users in 2025. The company said the current period is both a pressure test and a structural opportunity for miners that continue operating.
Program covers financing, fee cuts, and hardware-related discounts
According to EMCD, the program is open to miners globally and includes a revised fee structure, discounted terms tied to hardware and infrastructure, and liquidity and yield products built for mining operations.
Miners dealing with cash-flow pressure can apply for EMCD’s collateralized liquidity loans, with annual rates starting from 3.9%. The company said the loans are meant to help operators cover day-to-day expenses without having to sell assets in a weak market. EMCD added that the product was designed around mining cash-flow cycles and can be used alongside other benefits in the program. Combined with fee reductions and lower hardware costs, the effective cost of capital can fall beyond the headline interest rate alone.
Miners looking to preserve margin on each block can also apply for a full waiver of pool fees for 60 consecutive days, lowering operating costs during a period of weak hashprice. Those running older or underperforming machines can access discounted pricing for Vnish firmware, which EMCD described as a leading third-party ASIC optimization firmware product.
For miners planning to expand capacity or relocate it, EMCD said its partner network can provide preferential terms on equipment procurement and data center services.
Partner applications are open
EMCD is also inviting hardware manufacturers, data centers, and hosting providers to join the program and extend special terms to eligible miners. Partner applications can be submitted through its website at https://support-miners.emcd.io/
“From 2017 to today, we’ve lived through every cycle in this industry — bull markets, crypto winters, and halvings. What we’ve learned is that the operators who survive are not the ones who wait out downturns, but the ones who know how to use them. This program is our commitment to miners — making sure they have the tools to do exactly that,” said Michael Jerlis, founder and chief executive officer of EMCD.
EMCD said the amount cited in the announcement refers to the maximum total value of support available under the program, including financing, fee reductions, and partner discounts. It does not mean the company has set aside that amount in funds.
