According to ChainCatcher, Coinglass data shows that ETH’s current 8-hour average funding rate across the network stands at -0.0002%. The figure reflects the average funding rate level for ETH perpetual contracts over an 8-hour cycle across major derivatives markets.
Among major exchanges, Binance reports an ETH funding rate of -0.0024%, OKX reports -0.0022%, Bybit reports 0.0038%, and Gate reports -0.0006%. Within this group, Bybit is the only platform showing a positive funding rate, while Binance, OKX and Gate are all showing negative readings.
Funding rates are a standard mechanism in perpetual futures markets and are settled between long and short positions at fixed intervals. Positive and negative rates represent different directions of funding payments, so traders often use this metric to track changes in positioning costs in the derivatives market.
