ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that ETH’s current 8-hour average funding rate across the network is 0.0009%. The figure refers to the average funding rate level for ETH perpetual contracts over an 8-hour interval, while the rates shown by individual exchanges differ from one another.
Among the major exchanges listed in the data, Binance recorded an ETH funding rate of 0.0069%, the higher positive value in the group. OKX recorded an ETH funding rate of -0.0042%, Bybit was at 0%, and Gate showed a funding rate of -0.0025%.
Funding rates are used in perpetual futures markets for periodic payments between long and short positions. A positive or negative rate corresponds to different directions of payment between market participants. The Coinglass figures show that ETH’s 8-hour funding rates are not uniform across the listed trading platforms, giving traders a direct view of the contract funding conditions on each venue.
