In the perpetual futures market, funding rates are commonly used for periodic settlement between long and short positions, and the 8-hour interval is one of the standard measurement windows used by major trading platforms.
The figures differ across major exchanges. Binance currently shows an ETH funding rate of -0.0024%, while OKX shows -0.0046%. On the positive side, Bybit’s rate stands at 0.0041%, and Gate’s rate is 0.0012%.
The data indicates that ETH’s network-wide 8-hour average funding rate is at 0%, while individual platforms still report both negative and positive readings. The exchange-specific figures cited in the report cover Binance, OKX, Bybit and Gate, and all funding-rate data comes from Coinglass.
